New River Gorge Hot Spot New River Gorge is one of the best climbing areas of the nation. The sandstone cliffs along the gorge currently offer about 2000 climbs and there are still new areas being developed.
With the famous Hole, Kaymoor is home of some of the hardest routes at the New. Still, most of the climbs are in the 5.10 to 5.12 range and this is definitely one of the favorite areas in the gorge.
This topo has seen a major update in November 2001. We made better drawings and added a lot of descriptions. You should get the new version and dispose of the old one.
This topo is in a book format. Simply print the topo on both sides of two sheets, fold and staple.
