Although not really at the New River Gorge, Summersville Lake is always included with the New, whether it is for guidebooks, magazines, or videos. The reason is simple, it is just 30 minutes away and the climbing around the Lake is as good, if not even better than at the New.
This is a small paradise for 5.10s to 5.12s and is really good in the summer as you can take a dip in the lake between the climbs.
