In the 90s, Rifle was the place... It was packed with sport climbers that would spend the full summer here to tick a bunch of hard climbs. With the rising popularity of bouldering, the traffic slowed down a little, but still, one fact remains: Rifle's limestone is unique and you can easily come here by yourself and find a partner.

Some say it takes over a week to get used to the rock and even when you are familiar with the place, it is still hard to onsight your best in Rifle as a lot of the climbs are super beta intensive.
