Development at the Druid Stones probably started only in the late 90s, but it wasn't long before the word was out and a new star was born. An elevation of over 6000 feet makes this place a tiny bit colder than the Buttermilks, which is good in the Spring and the Fall. Still, the 40 minute walk keeps it away from the crowd.
