Another Alabama boulderfield to play in... big deal? Well combine the efforts of 3 brother-like friends, the beliefs of the SCC and one heck of a cool park ranger with boulders scattered throughout the state park and you have another southeastern playground.

DeSoto State Park opened to the climbing community in June 2002. The park still has projects lingering in the woods, as well as established classics. DeSoto is not the only reason to visit the top of Lookout Mt. in Fort Payne AL. There are a couple of other boulderfields, Little River Canyon, swimming holes, and other breathtaking sites to visit as well.
