Summer escape
While it is above 100 degrees down in Palm Springs, it seems impossible that about 45 minutes away, there is a small paradise where you will enjoy bouldering in perfect conditions. For decades, Black Mountain has been a summer destination for climbers. They focused their energy on the obvious boulders of OK Corral and Boulder Bassin Campground, but recently, many areas have been discovered and it seems that locals have barely scratched the surface.

We first worked on this topo in July 2001. It remained mostly incomplete until August 2002, when Dave Struthers sent us a major update.
There are still some unnamed and unrated problems.
If you have information that was not included in the topo, please send us an email and help us make the guide more complete.

This topo is in a book format. Simply print the topo on both sides of two sheets, fold and staple.
